Darren Wilson - Therapist and Wellbeing Coach

My own personal journey

I trained to be a counsellor about 10 years ago and made the transition to a completely vegan lifestyle around the same time, which means I've not only acquired a lot of experience dealing with the practicalities and anxieties of navigating a predominantly non-vegan world, I've also been able to apply psychological theories, approaches, tools an techniques to help me cope with such inevitable difficulties.

You name it - I've dealt with it. From resistance and judgement from family, friends and colleagues to working out how best to approach social settings involving food, to developing healthy, balanced meal plans to ensure I'm getting everything I need to thrive on a wholly plant-based diet.

Today in my mid-50s, I'm happier, healthier and more content and at peace with life than I've ever been. To say I'm enthusiastic about the amazing benefits of adopting a vegan lifestyle would be an understatement. It's what I call the 'three wins' approach to life: personal, environmental and ethical.

They say there's no time like the present, so whether you're on the cusp of making the change or already well established and just want help and support from someone who gets it - please do get touch!
